Ingredients
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, very soft
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning, dried
- 8 slices white bread
- 12 slices mozzarella cheese
- 6 ounces pepperoni
- pizza sauce, warm, for dipping
Instructions
- Make the butter spread: Mix the soft butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning together in a medium-sized bowl until smooth.
- Butter the bread: Spread the butter mixture evenly over one side of the white bread slices and place them butter-side-up on a tray.
- Assemble in the skillet: Over medium-low heat, place a slice of bread butter-side-down in a skillet. Layer it with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, another layer of mozzarella, more pepperoni, and a final slice of mozzarella.
- Top and cook: Place another piece of bread on top (butter-side-up). Cook for about 3–5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip.
- Finish and serve: Cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is fully melted. Serve immediately with warm pizza sauce for dipping.
